sorry, they said no.
no race, no run, just a party. it’s final; an email has been sent to all registrants. hopefully you’ll get your run in on sunday and then hit our party afterwards. we’ll show you a really, really good time and our sponsors will really, really appreciate it. if you can’t attend, you can transfer your bib to another person or you can even get a refund. it’s all in the email.
hoping to see you sunday,
-alain

Alain,
Thank you so much for trying to organize this. I, like many others, will not seek to get a refund as:
a) I read the fine print,
b) I totally support what you are trying to do,
c) A lot of entrance fee goes to charities.
d) I want more races in winter, and don’t want this experience to deter you from organizing more races.
Thanks for all your hard work! Keep your chin up, and let me buy you a pint the next time you’re in Davis Square!
Run On!
I never got the email, and I’m not looking for a refund. What about the shirts? Do we still get to pick those up?
I think it’s ridiculous that I can not get a full refund. I paid $30 to run, not for 2 beers. This absolutely zeros my chance of signing up for another race with this organization.
Does anyone know the address of the Party? I have looked at the Web Site, and the emails, it says Boston Water Front, But Where exactly in Boston Water Front?
Looks like the party is at the Boston Teachers Union near the Bay Side Expo Center on Mt. Vernon Street.
Rachel, Every 58 seconds an American dies from Cancer. You donated $30 to help the 1.5 million that will be diagnosed this year. You can have my 2 beers too as all of the chemo I endured has trashed my liver. If you are so short sided that you honestly believe that cancer will never effect you and that RACE is simply an event production company, then please don’t ever sign up for a race with this organization!
Get over yourself…..
Wonderful Event!! Thanks for a great time. You all handled the race cancellation with class and I am happy to contribute to kicking Cancer’s Ass! See you next year!
Hey survivorX2 – I’m truly sorry to hear about your illness – and all the others who have had to deal with this horrible disease. However, we all paid $30 to run in a race. Do you know where the majority of this money went?? Into the race directors (an ex-attorney) pocket. Yes, not to charity as he’d have you think. I am not seeking a refund but I know the facts and i really think the way this entire thing was handled is bullshit. I will not be signing up for anymore of Alain’s races. I normally don’t comment on anything like this but the way this was handled is not OK. A healthy portion of your and my $30 went directly into this guys pocket, a fact which he’s failed to mention in all of his sob stories to date.
